Community social services and private sector employees are subject to three separate agreements: if you are unsure of the agreement that covers your work, contact us. During the process, the parties continued to identify articles in the collective agreement that require changes to the existing language to better reflect the merging of health regions within the single health authority as well as the proposals submitted by the parties. Two such articles are Article 26 – dismissal and return to work and Article 29 – restructuring of employment. Agreement was also reached on the language of Article 26, which better defines a work unit for the purposes of dismissals and ensures that dismissed workers are automatically considered as candidates for future vacancies. All HSA members in the public health sector are covered by one of three framework collective agreements: the HSAS Bargaining Committee met with SAHO on 23 and 25 April, 14 to 16 May, 28 to 30 May and 4 and 6 June 2019. Summer is almost half over. Your bargaining committee looks forward to the resumption of negotiations in September. Until then, we`ll look back where we left off in June. Since the last update of the negotiations, your negotiating committee has met with SAHO on six dates: 17 to 19 September, 25 to 27 September, 5 to 7 November, 13 to 15 November, 10 to 12 December and 17 to 19 December. During the four hearings, a number of articles were discussed and approved by the parties.
