Three Models. One Progression.
The FE Motorsports youth dirt bike lineup covers the full entry-level spectrum — from the first bike a new rider will ever touch, through the 70cc electric-start model that grows with them as skills develop. All three are CARB approved, carry California Green Stickers, and are cleared for every OHV park in the state.
The right bike depends on the rider's size, confidence, and experience. The SYX 58cc is the most accessible starting point — fully automatic, governed speed, pull start, and a manageable top speed of approximately 22 MPH. The Apollo DB-21 steps up to 70cc with a semi-automatic engine. The Apollo DB-25 is the top of the youth lineup — 70cc, fully automatic, and electric start for riders who have outgrown the entry point.

70cc with semi-automatic transmission — more displacement than the SYX with a slight introduction to manual operation. Speed governor, knobby tires, front suspension, kick start. The bridge between the entry-level 58cc and the fully electric-start DB-25.
The top of the youth lineup. 70cc fully automatic with electric start, speed governor, and sport suspension. Riders who have outgrown the SYX or want the most capable youth machine from day one. Electric start means no kick-starting on the trail.

What Makes a Good Youth Dirt Bike
Automatic Transmission — Less to Think About
The SYX 58cc and DB-25 are fully automatic — no clutch, no shifting, no stalling. For a first-time rider, removing transmission complexity means faster development of the skills that actually matter: throttle control, braking, balance, and reading terrain.
Speed Governor — Parents Stay in Control
All three youth models — the SYX 58cc, DB-21, and DB-25 — include an adjustable speed governor that limits top speed. Set it low on day one and raise it as confidence builds. A rider who earns more speed develops better habits than one who has full throttle from the first ride.
Electric Start — DB-25
The DB-25 has electric start. No kick-starting a flooded engine on the trail. No physical strength required to get going. A rider can restart independently after a stall — which happens, and which is not a crisis when the start is a button push.
California Green Sticker — All Three Models
Every youth dirt bike at FE Motorsports is CARB approved and carries a California Green Sticker — legal at Gorman, Rowher Flat, Azusa Canyon, and every other designated OHV area in the state. Off-road use only.
Right Size for Developing Riders
Youth dirt bikes are smaller, lighter, and lower to the ground than adult machines. That lower center of gravity and lighter weight makes them easier to balance, easier to pick up after a fall, and less intimidating for a rider who is still building confidence.
Where LA Families Ride
All three youth dirt bikes carry California Green Stickers and are cleared for the OHV parks near Los Angeles. Here are the three main options for youth riders:
🏔️ Rowher Flat OHV — ~45 Miles
Via I-5 North and Angeles Forest Highway. A good intermediate area with varied terrain — open enough for beginners but with enough trail variety to stay interesting as skills develop. No reservation required.
🏕️ Gorman / Hungry Valley SVRA — ~60 Miles
Via I-5 North. 19,000 acres and over 130 miles of trails — with a dedicated beginners area ideal for first-time youth riders. The most versatile OHV destination near Los Angeles for families.
🌲 Azusa Canyon OHV — ~25 Miles
Via I-605 and I-210. The closest OHV area to Los Angeles. Open Saturdays and Sundays — advance reservations required at recreation.gov. Helmets required for all riders.
